This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects across sectors including infrastructure, education, healthcare, aviation, residential, retail, and corporate real estate, while contributing to the growth and development of our MEP capability.## Your role* Deliver pre- and post-contract MEP quantity surveying and cost management services across a diverse project portfolio.* Prepare cost plans, estimates, feasibility studies, budgets, and commercial reports.* Lead contract administration activities, including tendering, procurement, and variation management.* Provide clients with expert advice on MEP cost drivers, value engineering, and commercial strategy.* Monitor project costs, financial performance, and contractual compliance throughout project delivery.* Support business development activities and help grow the M&E cost management team in Southampton and the South-West.* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders.* Mentor and support junior team members while contributing to the technical development of the wider team.## About you* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.* Chartered (MRICS, CIBSE or equivalent) preferred, although substantial relevant experience will also be considered.* Proven experience delivering successful pre- and post-contract MEP cost management services.* Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, construction costs, and procurement routes.* Ability to advise clients on cost planning, value engineering, commercial risks, and project viability.* Experience working directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.* Excellent numerical, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.* A proactive, ambitious, and collaborative professional with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.## Rewards & benefitsExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive – at every stage of your life and your career.
