Atkinson Rose LLP is a UK law firm specialising in employment law, with a strong pipeline of enquiries from people who have been offered (or are expecting) a settlement agreement from their employer. Our challenge is reaching them quickly enough to convert.
The role involves being the first point of human contact for prospects who've either filled in our website form, have called in or left a voicemail regarding a settlement agreement or an appointment with our HR team. Your job is to:
- Call new leads back within 5–15 minutes during working hours or outside working hours if that suits you.
- Have a short, empathetic, structured conversation to understand their situation.
- Qualify them against simple criteria (UK-employed, settlement agreement offered or anticipated, etc.).
- Book qualified prospects into a consultation with one of our solicitors or HR consultants.
- Log notes in our online CRM and follow up with non-responders using a provided cadence (call → Whatsapp → email).
You won't be giving legal advice - that's reserved for our solicitors. You'll be doing the warm, human part that turns an enquiry into a booked consultation.
You’ll be a strong fit if you have:
- Previous experience in appointment setting, sales, or lead qualification (B2C ideal).
- A calm, warm, professional telephone manner - many of these people are stressed about losing their jobs.
- UK-based with excellent spoken communication skills.
- Reliability and responsiveness - speed is the main attribute of this role.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
- A proven track record in administration and diary management.
- A quiet workspace with good internet.
Nice to have (not essential):
- Experience in legal or a professional services setting.
- Any familiarity with UK employment basics (redundancy, settlement agreements, NDAs).
Logistics:
- Fully remote — work from home anywhere in the UK.
- Flexible hours to fit around childcare or other commitments — we're genuinely open to arrangements like school-hours only (e.g. 9:30am–2:30pm), split shifts, or covering specific days.
- Hourly rate: £15/hr with additional bonuses for meeting targets.
- Hours: we can offer what you would like, with a minimum of 20 hours per week, weekday business hours, with additional weekends or early evening callbacks if desirable.
- Ongoing role for the right person — the majority of our staff have been here for a number of years. We want to invest in training, and develop long term relationships, not have short term assignments with freelancers.
To apply: Please send a WhatsApp voice note (or short Loom) introducing yourself and detailing your relevant experience to 07821390031. We'll shortlist based on the voice note rather than CV alone as phone manner is the most important part of this role. Candidates will then be shortlisted for telephone interview.
We can only consider those based in the UK for this role - please do not apply if you are not based in the UK.
