I am looking for an experienced Estimator to join a well-established company in Norwich. They are looking for someone who has a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within the construction industry and has a strong ability to interpret specifications and drawings. Excellent Excel, analytical and numerical skills are essential together with a good understanding of construction methods and sequencing. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying/Building and/or Construction Management and knowledge of cost planning and commercial risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret architectural drawings and design information.
  • Break down project documentation to identify scope, risks, gaps and cost drivers.
  • Develop clear pricing structures.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Carry out quantification and take-offs from drawings.
  • Obtain quotations from specialist subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Analyse quotes against specifications.
  • Build detailed subcontract packages and pricing breakdowns.
  • Provide detailed cost breakdowns and scope clarification during project handover to delivery teams.
