We are currently working with a fast-growing, forward-thinking construction business that delivers high quality fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Estimator to join their team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys turning complex project details into clear, accurate, and commercially sound pricing. You’ll play a key role in supporting projects from concept through to completion, working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
The role would suit someone who enjoys understanding how projects are built and can confidently translate specifications into detailed and accurate costings.
The role will involve:
- Reviewing and interpreting drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Producing detailed cost estimates and pricing models for fit-out and refurbishment projects
- Carrying out take-offs and quantification from drawings
- Sourcing and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identifying risks, gaps, and cost drivers within project specifications
- Supporting value engineering and commercial decision-making
- Preparing clear pricing breakdowns and supporting project handovers
About you:
- Proven experience within estimating in a construction environment (ideally 5+ years)
- Experience across fit-out, refurbishment, or interior projects
- Strong ability to interpret drawings and specifications
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Confident using Excel and estimating software
- Good understanding of construction methods and sequencing
Desirable:
- Relevant qualification (Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar)
- Experience working with JCT contracts
- Understanding of cost planning and commercial risk
