We are recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to join a growing transport and logistics business. This is a hands-on role responsible for leading all areas of HR operations, employee relations, training, compliance, and people management across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all day-to-day HR activities across the business.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, inductions, training, and employee retention initiatives.
- Support managers with employee relations matters, absence management, performance management, and probation reviews.
- Design and deliver training programmes, including operational and compliance-related training.
- Oversee HR administration including payroll support, timesheets, holidays, and workforce reporting.
- Lead internal communications through company meetings, newsletters, and HR systems.
- Support Health Safety, First Aid, and Fire Safety processes, ensuring compliance with legislation and company standards.
- Monitor incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring appropriate reporting and documentation, including RIDDOR where applicable.
Experience Required
- Previous experience in a HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist role within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience managing employee relations in a dynamic setting.
