We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Financial Controller to lead the finance team. This is a pivotal role, responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, driving process improvements, and supporting the wider business with strategic financial insight.

As part of the leadership team, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance, enhancing financial performance, and developing a high-performing finance function.
Duties:
Lead, motivate, and develop the Norwich team, ensuring alignment with the Functional Business Plan Prepare and present weekly cash flow data, meeting regularly with the Commercial Director.
Deliver accurate and timely profit & loss reporting, providing insight to Group.
Oversee weekly sales and cash flow reporting.
Approve supplier payments via Bankline and monitor aged creditors to ensure timely settlement.
Review the debtors ledger, implement debt reduction plans, conduct credit checks, and manage on-hold accounts.
Process dividend payments to the parent company and provide ad-hoc shareholder tax support.
Review monthly management accounts with detailed analysis of income and expenditure.
Produce annual budgets, monthly P&L, balance sheet, and daily cash flow forecasts.
Ensure statutory accounts, monthly reporting, and all compliance requirements are delivered on time and to a high standard.
Oversee the audit process, liaising with external auditors, and ensuring balance sheet reconciliations—particularly at year end.
Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting.
Support the business in financial strategy, forecasting, and informed decision-making.
Streamline and enhance accounting operations to increase efficiency.
Experience:
Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
Strong Excel skills, with the ability to adapt to bespoke financial systems (including Sage).
Collaborative team player with the ability to build effective working relationships across the business.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on driving organisational performance.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial insights clearly and persuasively.
