An exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to join an established and growing organisation in a broad Assistant Financial Controller role.
Working closely with the Finance Director, you will play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls, delivering accurate reporting and supporting the wider business with meaningful financial insight.
- Review monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
- Maintain and strengthen financial controls and processes.
- Assist with statutory accounts, VAT and corporation tax requirements.
- Act as a key contact for external audit.
- Monitor working capital and support effective cash management.
- Provide financial analysis and insight to senior stakeholders.
- Identify and implement improvements to finance processes and systems.
- Support, mentor and review the work of junior members of the finance team.
- Contribute to finance transformation, automation and reporting projects.
You will ideally be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with strong financial and management accounting experience.
