Atkinson Moss is delighted to be supporting a well-established organisation in Diss with the recruitment of an experienced HR Administration Team Leader. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional looking to take the next step in their career, combining team leadership with hands-on HR administration and process improvement.
You’ll lead a team of 5-6 HR Administrators, overseeing the delivery of a high-quality HR service across the full employee lifecycle. You’ll also play a key role in developing the team, managing service levels, resolving complex queries and driving improvements across HR processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a team of 5–6 HR Administrators
- Oversee day-to-day HR administration across the full employee lifecycle
- Act as a point of escalation for HR administration and contractual queries
- Manage team workloads, service levels, quality and performance reporting
- Provide hands-on support with contracts, variations and employee changes
- Ensure compliance across areas including Right to Work, GDPR, employee records and audit requirements
- Review and improve HR processes, controls and documentation
- Monitor HR query volumes and service performance, identifying trends and improvements
- Work closely with HR colleagues, managers and wider business stakeholders
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Previous experience directly managing an HR administration team
- Strong hands-on HR administration and contractual experience
- Good knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- Experience managing HR compliance, ideally including Right to Work
- A strong understanding of processes, controls and audit requirements
- Experience improving and streamlining HR processes
- The ability to manage high volumes of work while maintaining accuracy and service levels
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with HR systems and maintaining accurate employee data
- CIPD Level 5 or 7 would be desirable
