We are seeking a skilled and qualified Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our well-established and reputable team. The ideal candidate will generally work in the Penrith and Keswick area on a variety of domestic, renovation and new build projects, handling installation, maintenance and repair of heating systems, boilers and general plumbing. We are especially keen to hear from engineers who can bring strong plumbing skills alongside their gas qualifications, with confidence across both heating and plumbing work.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair domestic heating systems and gas appliances
  • Carry out bathroom installations, including all associated plumbing work
  • Install and commission new heating systems and boilers
  • Diagnose and repair faults on existing systems efficiently
  • Conduct Gas Safety inspections and ensure compliance with current regulations
  • Maintain accurate job records and material usage
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
  • Provide clear and professional communication with customers

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or Plumber
  • Gas Safe registration (essential)
  • Experience with boiler servicing, heating system installations, and bathroom fitting
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Good general plumbing knowledge
  • Full UK driving license (essential)
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
