OVERVIEW
AtkinsClarke are supporting a sizeable, multi-site organisation operating across manufacturing to appoint a Finance Director into a key executive leadership position. This role will provide strategic and operational financial leadership, supporting the business through continued growth, performance improvement and operational complexity. This is a broad, influential role for a senior finance leader who enjoys combining commercial insight with hands-on leadership.

OPPORTUNITY
As Finance Director, you will lead the finance function end-to-end, acting as a trusted partner to the executive leadership team and providing financial direction across manufacturing sites and service operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the full finance function across manufacturing and service-based operations
- Driving budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning
- Providing commercial insight into manufacturing performance, margins and cost drivers
- Supporting operational leaders with decision-making, investment appraisals and performance analysis
- Overseeing statutory reporting, audit and compliance
- Managing cash flow, working capital and capital expenditure
- Supporting pricing, contracts and commercial negotiations
- Leading, developing and succession-planning a high-performing finance team
- Contributing to wider business strategy, transformation and growth initiatives
This role offers significant exposure to operational leadership and the opportunity to shape financial strategy across a complex environment.
PERSON
We’re looking for an experienced CFO, Finance Director or senior finance leader with a background in manufacturing, industrial or asset-heavy environments. You will bring:
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Senior finance leadership experience within manufacturing or industrial settings
- Strong commercial and operational finance capability
- Experience partnering with MDs, operations directors and senior stakeholders
- A pragmatic, hands-on leadership style
- Experience leading teams in complex, multi-site organisations
