Atkins Search are currently working with a well-respected Electrical Contractor to recruit a knowledgeable Electrical Design Engineer to join their diverse and professional team. Client Based in Derby, our client holds over 20 years' experience as the number one choice services contractor for a number of regional and national construction main contractors and developers in England, as well as for a number of blue-chip commercial and educational institutions around the country.
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in producing electrical wiring diagrams using Revit Electrical and corresponding component layouts for a wide variety of commercial projects up to the value of £6m.
Responsibilities:- Develop and design electrical systems for various building types, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Produce detailed design packages, including schematics, layouts, and specifications for electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and security systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical designs with other building services.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure the quality and accuracy of electrical installations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design processes.
- Proven experience in electrical design engineering within the building services sector.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles, standards, and regulations.
