AtkinsClarke are supporting the search for a Site Finance Manager on behalf of a leading logistics and fulfilment operator, providing dedicated on-site finance and controllership support to one of its operations. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role suited to a qualified accountant with a background in logistics, warehousing or supply chain, acting as the key finance partner on site and linking day-to-day operational performance with commercial and financial outcomes.
Our client is a well-established logistics organisation operating across multiple UK sites, supporting a broad customer base with high-volume, operationally intensive contracts. The business places strong emphasis on financial control, customer profitability and close collaboration between finance and operations, and continues to invest in its people and site-level finance capability.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Site Finance Manager will provide finance and controllership support across the site, with a strong focus on customer profitability, margin protection and financial governance. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting preparation of monthly management accounts, weekly flash reporting and forecasts
- Preparing and reviewing revenue, cost of sales, margin schedules and balance sheet reconciliations
- Leading customer-level profitability reporting across closed-book and open-book customers
- Maintaining billing and revenue protection controls, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing
- Reviewing operational KPIs and benchmarking actual volumes and costs against customer budgets
- Supporting budgeting and reforecasting for customer contracts, partnering closely with operations
We are seeking a qualified accountant with strong operational finance experience gained within logistics, warehousing, fulfilment or a comparable customer-contract environment. You will bring:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by significant relevant experience
- Strong operational finance background in logistics, warehousing, fulfilment or a similar environment
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable investigating variances and challenging assumptions
- Experience of revenue, margin, billing and balance sheet reconciliation
- Advanced Excel skills and strong general finance systems literacy
- Confident communicator, able to present financial insight to non-finance audiences
