Our client is a global leader in logistics, transportation and supply chain solutions, operating across a wide international network and serving customers across multiple sectors. The UK division represents a significant and growing part of the group, with a turnover of approximately £100m. As the business continues to develop, the finance function is central to supporting operational performance, driving efficiency and enabling sound commercial decision‑making across the division.

Reporting to the UK Managing Director, with a dotted line into group finance, the Divisional Financial Controller will take ownership of financial control and reporting for the UK business, while acting as a trusted commercial advisor to the leadership team. This is a hands‑on, broad‑remit role suited to a finance leader who enjoys close business partnering alongside strong technical control.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading financial control, reporting and month‑end processes for the UK division
  • Partnering closely with the UK Managing Director on commercial and operational decisions
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning cycles
  • Producing accurate and timely management information for senior stakeholders
  • Ensuring robust financial controls, compliance and governance across the division
  • Managing external audit and statutory reporting requirements
  • Supporting cash flow, working capital and balance sheet management
  • Driving continuous improvement across finance systems, controls and processes
  • Leading and developing a finance team, building capability across the function
  • Providing commercial insight to support pricing, contracts and operational performance

This is a genuine opportunity to influence the financial and commercial direction of a growing UK division within a global organisation.

We are seeking a qualified finance leader who combines strong technical control with commercial awareness and confident stakeholder engagement. You will ideally demonstrate:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience operating at Financial Controller level or above
  • Experience within logistics, transport, supply chain or a related sector would be highly advantageous
  • Strong financial control, reporting and compliance capability
  • The ability to business partner effectively with senior operational leadership
  • Confidence presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills with experience developing finance teams
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach with the ability to balance strategic and operational demands
  • Based locally to Heathrow, with flexibility to travel across the UK network as required

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑known global organisation in a visible, commercially engaged finance leadership role. Salary up to £90,000 with excellent benefits package. Close partnership with UK Managing Director and senior leadership. Genuine influence over the financial performance of a c£100m division. Opportunity to develop and shape the finance function.
