About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Passive Fire Protection Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of complex fire protection projects across a diverse portfolio of healthcare, residential, social housing, student accommodation, commercial, and other occupied buildings. This is a key operational role responsible for managing the installation and remediation of passive fire protection systems, including fire stopping, compartmentation, fire door installations, fire door remediation, cavity barriers, and associated compliance works. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and in accordance with relevant industry standards and third-party accreditation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of passive fire protection projects from mobilisation through to completion.
  • Oversee the installation and remediation of passive fire protection systems including fire stopping, penetration sealing, linear gap seals, fire compartmentation, cavity barriers, fire doors, fire dampers and associated passive fire measures.
  • Ensure all works are completed in accordance with approved fire stopping details, tested system specifications, manufacturer installation guidance, and relevant British Standards.
  • Lead site teams, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project delivery.
  • Monitor project programmes, labour resources, productivity, and site performance to ensure contractual milestones and completion dates are achieved.
  • Carry out quality inspections and technical audits to verify compliance with FIRAS, BM TRADA, IFC, FDIS and other third-party accreditation schemes where applicable.
  • Review and interpret fire stopping schedules, fire door specifications, compartmentation drawings, technical details, and site surveys.

About You

  • Proven experience managing passive fire protection projects within live and occupied environments.
  • Strong technical understanding of passive fire protection systems including fire stopping, compartmentation, fire doors, cavity barriers, fire dampers, and fire-resistant construction.
  • Experience delivering projects under FIRAS, BM TRADA, IFC, or equivalent third-party certification schemes.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, fire compartmentation plans, fire door schedules, specifications, and remedial works programmes.
  • Experience managing multiple installation teams and subcontractors across active construction and refurbishment sites.
  • Strong understanding of Approved Document B, Building Regulations, passive fire compliance requirements, and relevant British Standards.
