The role offers the opportunity to work on national remediation programmes and high-profile residential portfolios, helping ensure buildings meet the latest safety standards.
We are seeking a PAS9980 / FRAEW Fire Engineer to join their technical team and support Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEW). Our client would also be interested in speaking with Consultants who have experience with Step 1 and/or Steps 1–5 of the FRAEW / PAS 9980 surveying process. Training and development will be provided for candidates looking to further develop their expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEW) in accordance with PAS 9980.
- Undertake site surveys of external wall systems, including cladding, insulation, cavity barriers, balconies, and façade attachments.
- Assess the fire performance of external wall construction and identify risks related to fire spread.
- Produce technical reports and risk assessments, providing clear conclusions and proportionate remediation recommendations.
- Work alongside fire engineers, façade specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust fire safety strategies.
- Competitive salary DOE – Fire Engineer (£50k to £60k), Senior Fire Engineer (£60k to £80k), Principal Fire Engineer (£80k to £95k)
