The company supports a broad range of UK-based clients, advising on life and property risk across complex and varied property portfolios. The team is third-party accredited for Fire Risk Assessments and operates in an environment that places strong emphasis on technical quality, professional standards, and continuous professional development.
Due to continued growth, the consultancy is now seeking to appoint a Fire Risk Assessor into a remote-hybrid role, with the position based in the North East of England. This role is particularly well suited to a Fire Risk Assessor with 1-2 years' experience, or an early-career assessor looking for a clear development opportunity within a supportive, technically led consultancy.
Scope of Work
The role will focus on carrying out Fire Risk Assessments across properties in the North East and wider UK, including:
- Universities and education estates
- Residential developments
- Industrial premises
- Commercial and complex occupied buildings
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Fire Risk Assessments in accordance with current UK legislation and guidance
- Produce clear, accurate, and well-structured fire risk assessment reports
- Identify hazards, assess risk, and make proportionate recommendations
- Liaise with clients, building managers, and internal technical teams
- Support ongoing fire risk management and compliance programmes
- Develop technical competence with mentoring and oversight from senior colleagues
Candidate Profile
Essential
- 1-2 years' experience undertaking Fire Risk Assessments
- Relevant fire safety qualification or working towards one
- Good understanding of UK fire safety legislation and guidance
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with appropriate support
Desirable
- Third-party accreditation or working towards accreditation
- Experience across multiple property types
