FIRE DOOR SURVEYOR / FIRE RISK ASSESSOR (TRAINING PROVIDED) London / South East (Hybrid) A leading UK Fire Consultancy specialising in fire safety, compliance, and risk management is seeking a Fire Door Surveyor / Fire Risk Assessor to join its expanding Fire Safety Division. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a fire door inspection qualification and practical surveying experience who is looking to develop into a fully competent Fire Risk Assessor and ultimately a Senior Fire Risk Assessor. The successful candidate will receive structured training, mentoring, and ongoing support from an experienced Advanced Tier 3 Fire Risk Assessors, gaining exposure to a wide variety of residential, education, commercial, and mixed-use buildings. This role offers a genuine long-term career path within fire safety and risk management. The Opportunity You will initially focus on fire door inspections, passive fire protection surveys, and compartmentation work while receiving hands-on training in fire risk assessment. Working alongside experienced consultants, you will develop expertise in: Fire Risk Assessments Fire safety legislation and compliance Fire door inspections and reporting Passive fire protection surveys Compartmentation inspections Means of escape assessments Residential, commercial, healthcare, and education premises Client liaison and technical report writing Fire safety advisory servicesThis role offers a clear progression route from: Fire Door Surveyor → Trainee Fire Risk Assessor → Fire Risk Assessor → Senior Fire Risk Assessor Responsibilities Undertake fire door inspections and surveys. Carry out compartmentation and passive fire protection surveys. Assist with and gradually undertake Fire Risk Assessments. Produce clear and accurate technical reports. Support senior consultants on a range of projects. Develop knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and recognised guidance. Provide professional fire safety advice to clients under supervision.Requirements Fire Door Inspection qualification Fire Risk Assessor qualification Experience undertaking fire door surveys or inspections and fire risk assessments. A genuine desire to progress into fire risk assessment. Strong communication and report-writing skills. Full UK driving licence.
