Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join their team. The Role
You will be responsible for undertaking Fire Risk Assessments across a diverse portfolio of well-known commercial brands, healthcare, education, government buildings and residential. Excellent variety of properties to survey. Working closely with clients, building managers and internal technical specialists, you will provide practical, compliant and commercially focused fire safety advice whilst producing technically accurate reports and recommendations. This is a varied, client-facing position that offers excellent exposure to different building types and genuine opportunities to further develop your technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Fire Risk Assessments in accordance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and PAS 79 methodology.
- Produce detailed, high-quality reports with clear, practical and risk-based recommendations.
- Advise clients on legislative compliance, fire safety management and remedial actions.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders through professional communication and technical expertise.
- Maintain an excellent understanding of current fire safety legislation, Building Regulations and recognised industry guidance.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across wider fire safety and compliance teams.
- Manage your own diary and workload whilst delivering work to agreed timescales.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Fire Risk Assessor who can demonstrate:
- Proven experience undertaking Fire Risk Assessments independently.
- Strong understanding of UK fire safety legislation, Approved Document B and associated guidance.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to provide practical, proportionate fire safety advice.
- Membership of the IFE, IFSM or another recognised competency register (Intermediate level or above preferred).
- A qualification in Fire Safety or Fire Engineering would be advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence.
