We have an exciting role within our Strategy and Delivery team that provides a unique opportunity to deliver the ATI funding programme, shaping the future of the UK aerospace sector and a sustainable future for aviation. The Programme Delivery Manager will support the successful planning, coordination and delivery of ATI’s funding programmes, including the Strategic Programme, SME Programme, and Non‑CO2 Programme.
Responsibilities
- Milestone Management: contributing to the planning, coordination, and delivery of key milestones for the ATI’s funding programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational timelines and strategic objectives.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: working closely with colleagues across ATI to ensure cohesive delivery and governance of programme activities.
- Governance Support: participating in and covering key programme governance meetings, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow‑up on action items.
- Funding Application Review & Strategic Assessment: conducting strategic assessments of funding applications, including draft and formal submissions, across all ATI programmes; engaging with external stakeholders to ensure proposals align with ATI’s strategic priorities and funding criteria.
- Process Innovation: contributing to the design, management, and implementation of new processes across all programmes, driving continuous improvement and efficiency; identifying opportunities for enhancing programme delivery processes and ensuring consistent application of best practices.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: establishing and managing effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives at the Department for Business and Trade, Innovate UK and Regional Aerospace Alliances; influencing stakeholders through clear, strategic communication and representing ATI’s interests in programme‑related discussions.
- Continuous Improvement: conducting thorough process analyses to identify areas for improvement, optimising programme efficiency and effectiveness; coordinating the delivery of process improvements to provide measurable value to programme stakeholders.
- Portfolio Management & Reporting: supporting portfolio management activities across all funding programmes, analysing technology areas and preparing detailed reports; leveraging portfolio data insights to inform programme strategy and decision‑making, collaborating with the technology team for in‑depth assessments.
- Undertake any additional activities as directed by the line manager, contributing flexibly to ATI’s evolving programme delivery needs.

Professional Qualifications
- Degree level qualification
- Project management qualification with proven experience in a programme/project delivery role
- Excellent planning, organisational and delivery across concurrent projects
- Excellent written and oral communication, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data
- High level of competence in using techniques and tools, including Gantt charts, scheduling, dependencies mapping
- Prior experience in aerospace is not essential provided the candidate demonstrates translatable experience from an aligned sector
