Over the past decade, it has evolved from a traditional broker-led model into a more scalable, lending-focused business strengthening control over its portfolio, enhancing long-term value and creating a platform for sustainable growth. With continued investment in funding, product development, and operational infrastructure, the business is well positioned for the future. With an experienced leadership team in place, the next step is appointing a Finance Director who can support, challenge and help shape what comes next. This includes not only defining the financial direction but ensuring its effective delivery and execution across the business.
Reporting to the Managing Director and operating at Board level, you will take full ownership of the finance function and play a key role in shaping both financial performance and strategic direction. You will play a central role in translating strategy into actionable plans, ensuring that financial priorities are embedded, tracked, and delivered across the organisation.
Key responsibilities as Finance Director include:
- Developing and delivering the financial strategy aligned to business objectives;
- Translating strategic objectives into clear financial plans, budgets, and measurable outcomes;
- Full responsibility for finance reporting and control;
- Leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling;
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory, statutory, and governance requirements;
- Leading, developing, and structuring the finance function;
- Providing commercial insight and constructive challenge to support decision-making;
- Develop and manage the financial infrastructure of the business.
A qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or ACMA with significant senior finance leadership experience, ideally within a regulated or financial services environment. Strong technical background in UK, IFRS and UK Tax; A track record of building and developing high-performing teams; Experience across funding structures, financial modelling, and regulatory frameworks will be advantageous.
