The Investment Data Engineer will join the Investment Shared Services team to enable the successful delivery and analysis of asset data to meet the needs of investment portfolio oversight and steering. The role-holder will work alongside the Investment Data Developer and both will be responsible for building the data structure, feeds, analytics and process automation, while partnering with stakeholders across Athora teams to take part in portfolio oversight and risk management and work closely with Apolloâs investment and data analytics teams.
Key Responsibilities & Contribution Areas
- Collaborate across Athora Group and Apollo with stakeholders including Actuarial, Risk and Investments to understand team needs and translate them into technical specification for the data architecture for structured and unstructured data.
- Support internal and external stakeholders in setting up the data system.
- Build âinboundâ asset feeds (investment and accounting books of record) from relevant systems.
- Build automated exceptions-based control checks.
- Build normalisation / standard processes for consistent asset data attributes across all business units.
- Develop automated portfolio analysis and reporting for Athora teams based on robust Python analytics delivered through PowerBI or other relevant user interfaces.
- Business partner with Athora teams on changing business needs and with technical teams as source systems evolve.
- Continuously adapt and evolve the portfolio analysis and reporting toolkit.
