Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to take on a dual role as Clinical Lead within a specialist mental health residential and education service for young people. This full‑time position offers the chance to combine strategic leadership with direct clinical work across a growing network of residential homes and an associated specialist school, supporting multidisciplinary teams and ensuring high‑quality, trauma‑informed care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical practice and provide psychiatric oversight across residential and education services
  • Guide and develop trauma‑informed therapeutic frameworks and care models
  • Deliver psychiatric assessments, risk management and ongoing treatment planning
  • Provide remote clinical governance and supervision to satellite homes
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to drive safe, effective care
  • Support service development through strategic leadership and decision‑making
  • Promote high standards of documentation, compliance and clinical excellence

Qualifications

  • MRCPsych and CCT in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (or equivalent)
  • Full GMC registration and Specialist Register status
  • Section 12 and Approved Clinician approval
  • Strong MDT leadership and decision‑making abilities
  • Ability to travel between sites when required
