Currently we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist neurological rehabilitation service supporting adults with complex neurological conditions and acquired brain injuries.
Working as part of an established multidisciplinary team, you will manage a highly specialist caseload, delivering expert assessment and intervention for individuals with complex communication and swallowing difficulties. You will play a key role in supporting residents to maximise independence, improve quality of life and achieve meaningful rehabilitation goals.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SLT looking to further develop their neurorehabilitation expertise within a supportive environment that encourages autonomy, clinical leadership and service development.
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Position: Senior Speech and Language Therapist
Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week
Setting: Neurological Rehabilitation and Complex Care
Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Manage a specialist neurological speech and language caseload.
- Complete communication and swallowing assessments.
- Deliver dysphagia interventions and management programmes.
- Lead communication-focused therapeutic group sessions.
- Support families and carers throughout rehabilitation pathways.
- Supervise therapy assistants and support staff.
- Contribute to MDT meetings and clinical decision making.
For this role, we're looking for someone who has:
- HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Dysphagia assessment and treatment experience.
- Experience managing complex neurological caseloads.
- Experience supporting families and carers.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
