Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a CAMHS forensic low secure service supporting young females. This role offers a highly specialist environment, working with complex cases requiring structured, trauma-informed and risk-managed care. The service is a 10-bed low secure unit with a focus on rehabilitation, safeguarding, and long-term recovery. A full time consultant is already in place – this role will be a supporting role offering a combination of on-site and remote working, with flexibility in how sessions are delivered.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Provide specialist psychiatric input to the MDT
  • Support clinical decision-making and care planning
  • Contribute to risk assessments and case reviews
  • Offer remote and on-site clinical support
  • Participate in multidisciplinary discussions
  • Assist with complex case formulation
  • Support service development initiatives

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:

  • GMC registration with licence to practise
  • CCT or equivalent experience in Psychiatry
  • Ideally Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician but consideration given to those without
  • Experience in CAMHS or forensic settings
  • Ability to work flexibly and remotely
