Currently we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist neurological rehabilitation and complex care service in Middlesbrough.
You will manage a complex caseload, providing high-quality, person-centred assessment and intervention across communication, voice and swallowing needs. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will use your specialist expertise to support individuals with complex neurological conditions and achieve positive clinical outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will be;
- Manage a specialist caseload involving complex communication and swallowing needs.
- Complete detailed communication and swallowing assessments using formal and informal assessment tools.
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred Speech and Language Therapy interventions.
- Develop and manage individualised swallowing and communication programmes.
- Provide specialist input into multidisciplinary care planning and clinical decision-making.
- Assess communication aid requirements and support effective use.
- Provide training and supervision to therapy assistants, carers and colleagues.
For this role, weβre looking for someone who has;
- HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Experience managing caseloads involving dysphagia assessment and treatment.
- Experience working collaboratively with families and carers.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Strong multidisciplinary working and clinical decision-making skills.
