Currently, we have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse – CAMHS Eating Disorders to join our team. As part of the Multi-disciplinary team, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to children and adolescents with eating disorders.
Salary: Up to £44,953 + £5000 welcome bonus
Position: Senior Mental Health Nurse
Hours: Full Time
Setting: CAMHS ED
Location: London SW15
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver prescribed care within an agreed work for a defined group of patients.
- Work with patients and their families to assess, plan, and deliver nursing care that aligns with patient choice.
- Observe and engage with patients to assess their needs and evaluate progress.
- Monitor and review nursing care plans, making adjustments as necessary based on patient condition.
- Evaluate changes in patient condition and needs, responding effectively to these changes.
- Contribute to a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care, including regular meetings and discussions.
- Prioritise nursing duties and delegate tasks appropriately, ensuring safe care delivery within shift coordination.
- Maintain personal professional development in line with preceptorship and revalidation requirements.
- Promote a respectful and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
- Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice on a monthly basis.
Qualifications:
- A valid NMC PIN with a Registered Nurse qualification (RMN).
- Experience with patients who have eating disorders and related mental health issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise care delivery.
- A commitment to personal and professional development in line with healthcare standards.
