Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Advisor to work with an NHS 111 Service in Barking, London. This full-time/part-time locum position is based in an office environment, with proposed working hours of Days/Nights/Flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.
The role is set to begin as soon as possible and offers continuity with regular shifts and flexible hours, providing an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a NHS 111 service.
To be eligible, you must have:
Registered Nurse (NMC)
Significant post-registration experience in urgent care, primary care, or emergency settings.
NHS Pathways-trained or MTS trained
Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
Passion for patient safety and continuous improvement.
About the Role
As a Senior Clinical Advisor, you will lead by example in providing expert clinical assessment, supporting frontline staff, and contributing to service excellence. Your responsibilities include:
- Delivering remote clinical assessments and advice using NHS Pathways and clinical judgment.
- Providing guidance, mentoring, and escalation support to Clinical Advisors and other team members.
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate and timely patient care.
- Contributing to audits, service improvement initiatives, and clinical governance.
