We have an exciting opportunity for a RMN to work with an HMP in Redditch.

This full‑time locum position is based in Redditch, with proposed working hours of 37.5 hours a week – 0800 to 1600 Monday to Friday.

The role is set to begin 1 August and will last for 3 months, offering an hourly rate of £20.87 Per Hour.

Please note that this position is inside IR35.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mental health interventions to Service Users within the prison establishment across wellbeing, primary and secondary mental health.
  • Manage own caseload, including assessments, care planning, delivery of interventions, and review of care for patients with a mental illness within the framework of the multi‑disciplinary team and Care Programme Approach.
  • Act as integral member of the multi‑disciplinary, multi‑agency team to provide advice and support to primary health care based within the prison and liaise with statutory and non‑statutory agencies.
  • Provide specialist mental health interventions to service users in the prison.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working as a staff nurse in a prison, with mental health focus.
  • Prison clearance (category specified in CV).
