Currently, we have an excellent opportunity for a Principal Psychologist to join our client. This is a part-time role where you’ll be working with individuals who have a range of complex mental health needs. Salary: Up to £49,600pa (FTE Up to £62,000)

Position: Principal Psychologist

Hours: 32 hours per week (part-time)

Setting: Specialist Mental Health Services

Location: Somerset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as a team Psychologist within a multidisciplinary team (MDT).
  • Conduct psychological assessments and provide therapy to individuals and groups.
  • Develop care plans collaboratively with the MDT.
  • Provide training, supervision, and consultation to colleagues and teams.
  • Evaluate service quality and contribute to development and clinical research.
  • Present and disseminate outcomes via conferences and publications.
  • Support individuals with complex mental health needs, including self-harm and aggression.

Minimum Requirements:

  • HCPC registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist qualification.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a clinical or mental health setting.
  • Training in complex therapies like Schema Therapy, DBT, or Cognitive Analytical Therapy.
  • Passion for working with people with complex mental health needs.
  • Ability to treat issues like self-harm, aggression, and substance abuse.
