Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist prescriber to join a specialist medicinal cannabis service. This on-site role focuses on continuation prescribing following patient initiation by consultants, ensuring safe and compliant use of cannabis-based medicinal products. You will work closely with clinical, dispensary, and compliance teams to deliver high‑quality care in line with controlled drug legislation and organisational protocols.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Prescribe and manage ongoing CBMP treatment plans post‑initiation
- Ensure full compliance with Schedule 2 CD legislation and SOPs
- Clinically review prescriptions for appropriateness and safety
- Monitor patient outcomes, side effects, and treatment efficacy
- Escalate clinical concerns to consultant team when required
- Collaborate with dispensary staff to maintain safe medicine supply
- Support audit, governance, and regulatory compliance processes
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:
- GPhC‑registered pharmacist
- Controlled Drug PIN Holder
- Experience working in a regulated pharmacy or clinical environment
- Experience in Medicinal Cannabis is not essential, but welcomed!
