We have an exciting opportunity for a Microbiology Consultant to work with an NHS Trust in the North East region. This full‑time locum position is based in an acute setting, with proposed working hours of Monday to Friday – 0900 – 1700 (weekends and weekday nights on call).

Consultant medical microbiologist able to review and authorise clinical microbiology results using Winpath LIMS, provide clinical microbiology advice to both GP and acute trust colleagues, and support laboratory staff queries. Must be able to support on call rota, will consider off site/remote working although needs to spend week 50% of the week minimum onsite. A CCT is required.

The role is set to begin ASAP and will last for 3 months initially, offering an hourly rate of £95 – £105 per hour. Please note that this position is inside IR35.

To be eligible, you must have GMC, UK experience, and right to work in the UK.
