Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with mental health conditions.
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement patient care.
  • Monitoring patients’ physical and mental health, adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Supporting patients detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.
  • Ensuring compliance with nursing standards and the hospital’s policies and procedures.
  • Building therapeutic relationships with patients, ensuring dignity and respect.
  • Participating in clinical supervision and professional development activities.
  • Engaging in care planning and contributing to MDT meetings.
  • Ensuring safe medication management and accurate documentation.
  • Promoting a positive, safe environment for patients and colleagues.

  • 10 Bed Male PICU
  • 14 Bed Rehab
  • 10 Bed ED
  • 11 Bed Female Acute
  • 12 Bed Male Acute
  • 10 Bed Mixed Acute
  • 9 Bed Private

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:

  • Active NMC PIN with at least 12 months post-qualifying experience.
  • Experience in mental health nursing, particularly in acute or PICU settings, is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
  • A positive, proactive attitude toward continuous learning and professional development.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
