Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join a brand-new, nurse-led residential service supporting adults with complex mental health needs. This role offers the chance to play a key part in shaping a new service, embedding high-quality PBS practice, and supporting individuals to achieve improved wellbeing, safety, and quality of life through person-centred, evidence-based approaches.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Conduct functional behaviour assessments and analyse behavioural data
- Develop, implement and review individual Positive Behaviour Support plans
- Lead restrictive practice reduction planning and implementation
- Deliver PBS training, coaching and workshops to staff teams
- Support person-centred, proportionate risk management planning
- Review incidents and facilitate reflective debriefs
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:
- Formal qualification in PBS, ABA, Autism Studies or related discipline
- Experience developing PBS interventions for behaviours that challenge
- Background supporting individuals with complex mental health needs
- Strong knowledge of MCA, safeguarding and risk management
- Confidence working autonomously within multidisciplinary environments
