Currently we have an excellent opportunity to join a Tier 4 CAMHS service supporting young people aged 12–18 with eating disorders, delivering evidence-based and individualised treatment programmes within a specialist setting.

Salary: Up to £170,000

Position: Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

Hours: Full Time

Setting: Tier 4 CAMHS Eating Disorder Service

Location: Hertfordshire

Your key responsibilities:

  • Review referrals and assess suitability for admission
  • Conduct admission assessments and implement management plans
  • Lead risk and physical health assessments
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to team members
  • Support governance, safeguarding, and record-keeping standards
  • Participate in on-call rota and cross-cover arrangements
  • Build relationships with community teams and stakeholders

Qualifications and experience:

  • GMC Specialist Register in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Experience within CAMHS, ideally also in eating disorder services
  • Strong leadership and supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and clinical governance
  • Interest in research and teaching
  • Ideally section 12 & AC
