We have an excellent permanent job opportunity for a General Adult Consultant working for a private Service based in Essex. This is a full‑time role, covering a 21‑bedded adult acute ward.

Salary: £154,000 per annum + £8.4k car allowance

Position: General Adult Consultant

Hours: Full time

Setting: 21‑bedded adult acute ward

Location: Essex, Clacton

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that people admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safely
  • Medication management
  • Quality assurance, complaints and co‑production
  • Delivery of NICE guidance
  • Lead and manage the CPA and ICR process to ensure full compliance with quality standards

  • Have substantial knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, contemporary issues in mental health, knowledge of and experience in purchaser/provider contractual issues
