The predicted salary is between 109000 - 145000 £ per year.
This is an exciting opportunity to recruit to a full-time post 1.0 WTE and the Trust will consider all applications including those wanting to work flexibly. The post is based at our Inpatient CAMHS site in Westbourne which provides a comprehensive and outstanding service for young people between the ages of 12 and 18.
The postholder will work alongside another substantive Consultant Psychiatrist who will be based at the same site and work closely with Community CAMHS colleagues to support the mental health and emotional wellbeing of young people across Dorset. The postholder will be expected to maintain Section 12 (2) and be an Approved Clinician.
The 10 bedded inpatient General Adolescent Unit has a 1.0 WTE Consultant Psychiatrist and a 1.0 Consultant Nurse Approved Clinician. However, the Trust is proposing the development of an 8 bedded CAMHS PICU on the same site and the postholder will work alongside the other substantive Consultant to help assist the opening of the CAMHS PICU in 2025, whereupon there will be an opportunity to either continue working in the General Adolescent Unit or move across to work in the new CAMHS PICU.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain Section 12 (2) and be an Approved Clinician.
- Work alongside another substantive Consultant Psychiatrist and CAMHS colleagues to support the mental health and emotional wellbeing of young people across Dorset.
- Assist the development of the CAMHS PICU and the potential to transition between General Adolescent Unit and CAMHS PICU as openings arise.
- Collaborate with Community CAMHS and other stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and service delivery.
