Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to lead a specialist substance misuse service, delivering high-quality care and clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team supporting individuals with complex addiction and mental health needs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and ongoing clinical reviews
- Lead and support a multidisciplinary team delivering addiction services
- Ensure adherence to best practice guidelines and clinical standards
- Participate in consultant on-call rota for inpatient unit
- Contribute to service performance and contractual targets
- Support BBV testing and vaccination initiatives within the service
- Engage in CPD, appraisal, and professional development activities
Requirements
- Full GMC registration with licence to practise
- MRCPsych or equivalent recognised qualification
- Strong knowledge of addiction psychiatry and mental health legislation
- Experience in substance misuse and co-occurring mental health conditions
- Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
