Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Interventional Radiologist to join a busy and expanding Radiology service within an acute hospital setting. The successful candidate will provide specialist interventional radiology services alongside general diagnostic radiology, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The role offers an opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills while contributing to high-quality patient care, teaching and service development.
Salary
- £113,565 – £150,569 per annum
- Position: Consultant Interventional Radiologist
- Hours: Full Time – 10 Programmed Activities
- Setting: Acute Hospital
- Location: Shrewsbury, West Midlands
Your key responsibilities will be;
- Perform vascular and non-vascular interventional radiology procedures for inpatients and outpatients.
- Contribute to the general diagnostic radiology workload across the service.
- Participate in the general radiology on-call rota.
- Develop and maintain advanced clinical skills relating to interventional patients.
- Assess and manage acutely ill patients within the clinical setting.
- Participate in multidisciplinary clinico-radiological meetings and collaborative patient care.
- Support teaching and training of junior radiology staff and other clinical colleagues.
For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;
- MBBS, MBChB or equivalent medical qualification.
- FRCR or equivalent qualification.
- GMC Specialist Registration via CCT or CESR.
- UK-equivalent clinical training in Clinical Radiology.
- Experience in Interventional Radiology.
