Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant in Acute Medicine to join a busy NHS acute care service delivering high-quality patient care. This role is directly employed within the NHS, as such comes with all NHS benefits. We can offer this position substantively or on a Fixed Term Contract.

Hours: Full-time

Setting: NHS Acute Medical Unit

Location: Midlands

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver acute medical care within AMU
  • Undertake post-take ward rounds
  • Support emergency admissions
  • Lead clinical decision-making
  • Supervise junior medical staff
  • Participate in audit and QI activity
  • Contribute to MDT working

Qualifications:

  • GMC Specialist Register
  • MRCP qualification
  • Recent NHS experience
  • Evidence of clinical audit/QIP
  • Independent clinical practice experience
