Are you an experienced A&E Doctor looking to play a pivotal role in delivering safe, efficient, and digitally enabled urgent care across London? We are working as part of an exclusive partnership with the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust, acting as a trusted staffing provider and giving our candidates priority access to new and ongoing locum roles within the Integrated Urgent Care service.
This locum position is based in a multi-disciplinary Integrated Urgent Care Hub, delivering telephone-based clinical consultations and triage. This post is due to start ASAP and is offering ongoing bookings, allowing you to have flexibility around working hours. As the service offers 24-hour coverage, these will include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
As a senior member of the Integrated Urgent Care Clinical Assessment service, you will deliver complex clinical assessments, manage undifferentiated presentations, supporting safe and effective care for patients. Using your clinical expertise, you’ll offer holistic advice, promote self-care, and coordinate referrals across the urgent care system where needed.
This role will include clinical leadership to the wider Integrated Urgent Care service multi-disciplinary team including Call Handlers, Nurses, Paramedics and Advanced Practitioners and act as a point of clinical support for community-based professionals such as ambulance crews, nursing teams, and home care staff. Helping to shape and lead a responsive, patient-focused service that delivers care in the right place, at the right time.
You’ll also contribute to clinical governance, digital triage processes, and the professional development of others helping to shape urgent care delivery across the wider healthcare system.
Requirements
- Registration with a relevant professional body (NMC/HCPC/GPhC)
- MBBS or equivalent
- Inclusion on a CCG Medical Performers list
- Significant post registration clinical experience in a primary, urgent, emergency or ambulance setting
- Experience of providing complex clinical care, advice and support to patients
- Ability to act as the senior clinician and provide clinical leadership to the Clinical Assessment Service multidisciplinary team as well as the wider community support function
- Familiarity with NHS Pathways systems
- Enhanced DBS
- The right to work in the UK
