Currently we have an excellent opportunity to lead and develop a new private CAMHS inpatient service, shaping care delivery and clinical standards within a growing mental health setting.
Job Details
- Salary: £180,880
- Position: Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist
- Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
- Setting: Private inpatient mental health hospital
- Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Responsibilities
- Lead development and delivery of new CAMHS inpatient service
- Act as Responsible Clinician overseeing patient care and treatment planning
- Assess and manage complex CAMHS cases across inpatient settings
- Chair MDT and CPA meetings, ensuring collaborative care planning
- Provide clinical leadership alongside Ward Manager and multidisciplinary team
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and clinical governance frameworks
- Contribute to service development, audit, teaching, and research activities
Qualifications
- Full GMC registration with Specialist Register inclusion
- Approved Clinician status & S12 desired
- Significant CAMHS inpatient or community experience
- Previous substantive Consultant-level experience
- Understanding of MHA, MCA, and clinical governance frameworks
