Currently, we have an excellent opportunity for a Care Team Leader (Nights) to join a luxury care home in Chorley, Lancashire, providing high-quality care and leadership to the night team.

Salary: £31,362

Position: Care Team Leader - Nights

Hours: Full Time – 8pm to 8am on a two-week rolling rota

Setting: Luxury Care Home – Dementia/Elderly care

Location: Chorley, PR7

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing the night shift team, ensuring quality care delivery.
  • Conducting handovers and ensuring proper documentation of care and medications.
  • Providing support, supervision, and training to senior carers and assistants.
  • Managing night rotas to ensure full staffing and skill mix.
  • Monitoring and observing care provided, offering guidance when needed.
  • Being the first point of contact for staff and management during the night shift.
  • Ensuring safe medication management and adherence to care plans.
  • Building strong relationships with residents and their families.
  • Ensuring effective communication with the day team regarding care needs.
  • Promoting person-centred care and adhering to company policies and procedures.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in dementia and elderly care settings.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading care teams.
  • Strong understanding of medication management and care documentation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor staff.
