We have an excellent permanent job opportunity for a CAMHS eating disorder Consultant to work for a private inpatient service based in Southwest London. This is a part time role.
Salary: up to £96,000 per annum
Position: CAMHS eating disorder Consultant
Hours: Part time – 22.5 hours per week (but possible flexibility to increase from 3 days to 4 days)
Setting: 18 bed ward shared between 2 consultants
Location: Southwest London
For this role, we’re looking for someone who is:
- · MBBS or Equivalent Medical Degree and MRCPsych
- · Full GMC registration with license to practice
- · Registered on the specialist register
- · Experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health issues
- · Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Practice

Key Responsibilities:
- · Performing comprehensive assessments and developing treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- · Leading ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and care reviews.
- · Overseeing clinical management of complex cases, particularly those involving risk or challenging behaviour.
- · Supporting patients and families through treatment decisions, relapse prevention, and recovery pathways.
- · Providing mentorship, supervision, and support to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
- · Driving quality improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with CQC regulations and national standards.
- · Collaborating with site leadership to ensure efficient service delivery and patient satisfaction.
