We have an excellent permanent job opportunity for a CAMHS eating disorder Consultant to work for a private inpatient service based in Southwest London. This is a part-time role.

Salary: up to £96,000 per annum

Position: CAMHS eating disorder Consultant

Hours: Part-time – 22.5 hours per week (but possible flexibility to increase from 3 days to 4 days)

Setting: 18 bed ward shared between 2 consultants

Location: Southwest London

For this role, we’re looking for someone who is:

  1. MBBS or Equivalent Medical Degree and MRCPsych
  2. Full GMC registration with license to practice
  3. Registered on the specialist register
  4. Experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health issues
  5. Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Practice
  6. Committed to continued professional development

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Performing comprehensive assessments and developing treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  2. Leading ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and care reviews.
  3. Overseeing clinical management of complex cases, particularly those involving risk or challenging behaviour.
  4. Supporting patients and families through treatment decisions, relapse prevention, and recovery pathways.
  5. Providing mentorship, supervision, and support to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
  6. Driving quality improvement initiatives and maintaining compliance with CQC regulations and national standards.
  7. Collaborating with site leadership to ensure efficient service delivery and patient satisfaction.
