Full time – 37.5 hours per week

Beds – Up to 12 CAMHS beds

Support – FT dedicated Specialty Doctor & MDT

On calls – TBC

Salary – £180,880 per annum

Key responsibilities
  • Clinical
  • Acting as Consultant and Responsible Clinician for CAMHS inpatients
  • Leading on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning process
  • Working collaboratively with patients, carers, and external agencies
  • Chairing MDT and CPA meetings
  • Preparing reports for Mental Health Act Tribunals and Managers Hearings
  • Contributing to clinical governance and continuous service improvement
  • Management
    • Providing clinical leadership in partnership with the Ward Manager
    • Supporting regulatory compliance and quality standards on the ward
    • Attending monthly CAMHS governance meetings and contributing to service development
  • Academic
    • Participating in monthly academic meetings
    • Delivering case presentations and teaching sessions
    • Engaging in audit, research, and quality improvement projects

    What we require
    • You will hold a CCST / CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant areas of Psychiatry and will have experience of working in inpatient and outpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties.
    • You will have experience at consultant level psychiatry and will have held a consultant position in the NHS.
    • You will hold a current license to practice and be on the appropriate specialist register.
