Full time – 37.5 hours per week
Beds – Up to 12 CAMHS beds
Support – FT dedicated Specialty Doctor & MDT
On calls – TBC
Salary – £180,880 per annum
Key responsibilities- Clinical
- Acting as Consultant and Responsible Clinician for CAMHS inpatients
- Leading on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning process
- Working collaboratively with patients, carers, and external agencies
- Chairing MDT and CPA meetings
- Preparing reports for Mental Health Act Tribunals and Managers Hearings
- Contributing to clinical governance and continuous service improvement
- Providing clinical leadership in partnership with the Ward Manager
- Supporting regulatory compliance and quality standards on the ward
- Attending monthly CAMHS governance meetings and contributing to service development
- Participating in monthly academic meetings
- Delivering case presentations and teaching sessions
- Engaging in audit, research, and quality improvement projects

- You will hold a CCST / CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant areas of Psychiatry and will have experience of working in inpatient and outpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties.
- You will have experience at consultant level psychiatry and will have held a consultant position in the NHS.
- You will hold a current license to practice and be on the appropriate specialist register.

The area boasts many Primary and Secondary Schools with an OFSTED rating of Outstanding.
