CAMHS Consultant
Full time – 37.5 hours per week
Beds – Up to 12 CAMHS beds
Support – FT dedicated Specialty Doctor & MDT
On calls – TBC
Salary – £180,880 per annum
Key responsibilities include:
Clinical:
· Acting as Consultant and Responsible Clinician for CAMHS inpatients
· Leading on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning process
· Working collaboratively with patients, carers, and external agencies
· Chairing MDT and CPA meetings
· Preparing reports for Mental Health Act Tribunals and Managers Hearings
· Contributing to clinical governance and continuous service improvement
Management:
· Providing clinical leadership in partnership with the Ward Manager
· Supporting regulatory compliance and quality standards on the ward
· Attending monthly CAMHS governance meetings and contributing to service development
· Academic:
· Participating in monthly academic meetings
· Delivering case presentations and teaching sessions
· Engaging in audit, research, and quality improvement projects

What we require:
· You will hold a CCST / CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant areas of Psychiatry and will have experience of working in inpatient and outpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties.
· You will have experience at consultant level psychiatry and will have held a consultant position in the NHS.
· You will hold a current license to practice and be on the appropriate specialist register.
