Band 8 Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) – Minor Injuries Unit | Newquay, Cornwall

Athona is recruiting for an experienced Band 8 Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join the Minor Injuries Unit in Newquay, Cornwall.

This is a fantastic opportunity to spend the summer working in one of the UK’s most beautiful coastal locations while making a real difference in urgent care.

Essential Requirements

  • MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent)
  • Independent Prescriber (V300)
  • Significant Urgent Care / Minor Injuries Unit experience
  • Competent in assessing, diagnosing and treating minor injuries and illnesses
  • Able to independently manage emergency presentations
  • Current NMC or HCPC registration

The Role

Working alongside another experienced practitioner, you’ll independently assess, diagnose and treat walk‑in patients presenting with a range of minor injuries and illnesses.

You’ll also be expected to respond confidently to emergency presentations, delivering safe, high‑quality patient care within the Minor Injuries Unit.
