Athona is recruiting for an experienced Band 8 Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join the Minor Injuries Unit in Newquay, Cornwall.
This is a fantastic opportunity to spend the summer working in one of the UK’s most beautiful coastal locations while making a real difference in urgent care.

Essential Requirements
- MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent)
- Independent Prescriber (V300)
- Significant Urgent Care / Minor Injuries Unit experience
- Competent in assessing, diagnosing and treating minor injuries and illnesses
- Able to independently manage emergency presentations
- Current NMC or HCPC registration
The Role
Working alongside another experienced practitioner, you’ll independently assess, diagnose and treat walk‑in patients presenting with a range of minor injuries and illnesses.
You’ll also be expected to respond confidently to emergency presentations, delivering safe, high‑quality patient care within the Minor Injuries Unit.
