Location: Barnet

Hours: Part time/ Full time / Ad-hoc – Line of work contract

Shift hours: Negotiable, service open 08:00-20:00, seven days a week

Rates: £27.00 per hour Day Rate, £30.00 Saturday, £35.00 Sunday

Please note that you will need to pick up weekdays to access weekends.

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this role you need a minimum of 6 months NHS experience within the last 2 years.

Job Description:

Athona’s Nursing division is currently recruiting for Community agency nurses, with an opportunity based in West London and surrounding areas. This is a community-based shift worked for an NHS Trust. You will need to be a car driver and have access.

Key Skills:

  • Wound care
  • Catheter care
  • Palliative care
  • Holistic assessment
  • Medication administration
  • Insulin administration/management
  • Advanced clinical assessment skills
  • Experienced in acute and ED departments
  • Liaise with GP to initiate antibiotic treatment
  • IV skills with administration and cannulation
  • Knowledgeable with ECG, bladder scans/I-stat machine and the CRP machine phlebotomy
  • Car driver – the team responds to each patient referral within 2 hours
  • Able to use experience of using System One
