We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work with the NHS 111 Service in Barking, London. This full-time or part-time locum position is based in an office environment, with flexible working hours including days, nights, and shifts as needed. The role is available to start as soon as possible and offers ongoing shifts, providing continuity and flexibility.

To be eligible, you must have:

  • Registered Nurse (NMC) with MSc or PGDip in Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP)
  • Independent non-medical prescribing qualification (V300)
  • Proven experience in urgent care, primary care, or emergency settings
  • Confidence in autonomous clinical decision-making
  • Excellent communication and digital consultation skills

About the Role

As an ANP in our NHS 111 service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-focused clinical assessments and advice via telephone and digital platforms. Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing remote clinical consultations to patients with urgent care needs
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team including GPs, paramedics, pharmacists, and mental health professionals
  • Supporting patients through safe, evidence-based decision-making using NHS Pathways and professional judgment
  • Helping reduce pressure on A&E departments by guiding patients to appropriate care settings
