We have an exciting opportunity to join our office-based Sales team on a 6+ month fixed term basis, delivering the highest possible level of service both internally and externally. This full-time job is based in Milton Keynes. We are Sales & Marketing within Athlon.
Your road to success is vital, delivering the highest possible level of service to the field-based sales and sales support teams, across a variety of sales channels, including UK and international corporate business and the Public Sector. You will assist the Business Development Managers and provide assistance to the Sales Support Manager, customers, and dealers by acting as an intermediary, advisor, product specialist, and administrator.
Having a customer-first mindset, you will focus on efficiently and accurately processing customer orders by working with the vehicle purchasing department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing fleet finance proposals including necessary quotations and pricing.
- Working with the pricing and risk department to ensure accurate RVs are used and all remarketing considerations are factored into new business proposals.
- Communicating clearly and efficiently to pro-actively work with the field sales team to provide rate books and support with tender requirements.
- Responding efficiently and professionally to incoming calls/emails and providing rapid responses to the sales team’s queries and requirements.
- Accurately processing customer orders, ensuring that ordered vehicles match customer requirements.
- Communicating clearly and efficiently with dealers and manufacturers to obtain necessary vehicle or pricing information for bespoke build quotations or unique customer requirements.
- Assisting in managing the current order bank and providing customer status updates.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about joining our business and provides inspiration and encouragement towards the Athlon vision. You will become an authority on the fleet and automotive sectors, able to advise on vehicle specifics such as manufacturer’s approach to ICE and EV/PHEV and stay abreast of lead times, stock levels, and availability. In addition, you have:
- GCSE or equivalent English Language and Mathematics.
- Experience in a similar customer-focused administrative role.
- A keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent telephone manner and good communication skills.
- Experience in motor fleet or retail finance industry is preferable.
- Sound understanding of finance industry legislation including FCA Principles, Data Protection Act, Consumer Credit Act, and Anti-Money Laundering.
- Knowledge of Fleet and leasing products and principles is also preferable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent telephone manner and strong communication and negotiation skills.
