We have an exciting opportunity to join our Sales Support team, delivering the highest possible level of service to our customers through collaboration with senior internal stakeholders. This full-time job as Sales Support Manager in Milton Keynes involves leading the Sales Support team, accountable for the accurate and timely delivery of quotes and vehicle orders for existing customers; ensuring high-quality presentation of pricing, products, and services.

The role includes full line management responsibility, including recruitment, performance management, training, development, and regular one-to-ones. You will support activity by the Bid & Implementation (B&I) Lead, ensuring timely tender submissions across Corporate and Public Sector channels, including pricing, quotes, and rate books.

As the CRM subject matter expert, you will serve as the escalation point for system and process issues. You will deliver regular reporting to the Head of Sales Support & Marketing and the National Sales Manager and own the Public Sector commission reporting. Working closely with IT and Operational Excellence, you will drive continuous improvement and efficiencies.

You will oversee customer onboarding and CRM maintenance, ensuring the team are accurate in the setup of pricing, products, services, credit, and banking details in collaboration with Sales, Credit, and Finance teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Sales Support team management: Managing workloads, targets, and outputs through 121s, appraisals, and training to meet tender and project and customer demand.
  • Mentoring the team to maximise new business opportunities through dealer, customer, and prospect engagement.
  • Ensuring full CRM compliance, data accuracy, and up-to-date customer records.
  • Promoting best-practice sharing and recognising success across the Athlon UK Commercial team.
  • Owning recruitment and selection of new team members as required.

Commercial support: Partnering with BDMs and the B&I Lead to ensure timely delivery of new business and tenders. Coordinating team capacity for pricing, rate books, and bid support. Attending prospect and customer meetings where commercial value can be added. Ensuring CRM setup enables accurate reporting and order processing.

Systems expertise and escalation: Acting as Miles (CRM) SME, leading new functionality onboarding and representing Sales Support requirements in projects and testing. Serving as escalation point for system issues impacting commercial and field activity. Maintaining lookup tables, quote templates, and Public Sector supplier APIs with IT, Pricing, and PS teams.

Sales Support reporting: Delivering daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reporting with commentary for CCO, Sales, and UK Board. Partnering with Finance and Purchasing teams to ensure accurate month-end reporting. Maintaining dashboards covering customers, contracts, quotes, orders, aged orders, and third-party conversions. Owning internal process maps and work instructions to ensure compliance, onboarding, and business continuity.

  • Fleet experience, with a strong desire to develop further knowledge of the fleet and leasing industry locally and internationally.
  • Willingness to challenge existing propositions, processes, and procedures to enhance customer experience.
  • Graduate preferred, with a minimum of 5 years' leasing industry experience in sales, account management, and/or project management, with a strong focus on execution quality.
  • Proven leadership of both virtual and on-site teams.
  • Bid and Implementation experience advantageous.
